Stage and Screen

Prep – Year 12

Confident Kids Performing Arts School is proud to offer Stage & Screen classes in Cranbourne West. These engaging classes combine singing, dancing and acting to help students develop confidence, creativity and well-rounded performance skills for both stage and screen.

Classes include vocal technique, acting exercises, scene work, musical theatre choreography, audition skills, script work, character development and on-camera performance, giving students the opportunity to grow as versatile performers in a fun and supportive environment.

Students have the opportunity to perform in a stage musical as the ensemble and record a scene for our acting screening at a cinema. For students looking for lead and supporting roles in our musical, we would suggest attending our Production Class.

Classes encourage resilience, teamwork, problem-solving, and self-expression while giving children the confidence to speak in front of others and embrace new challenges.

Performances showcase the hard work of students while building confidence, stage presence and valuable real-world performance experience, while developing a lifelong love of the performing arts.

At Confident Kids Performing Arts School, Stage & Screen classes help students grow far beyond the performance space. Whether your child dreams of performing professionally or simply wants to build confidence and have fun, Stage & Screen provides valuable life skills that support success both on and off the stage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my child need acting, singing, or dancing experience?

No. Stage & Screen classes welcome students of all experience levels. Whether your child is completely new to acting, singing, or dancing, or has previous experience, our teachers provide a supportive environment where every student can grow.

While both classes work towards our musical, our Stage & Screen is suitable for all ages and takes part in the group singing, dancing, and acting numbers. For those in grade 3 or above looking to audition for lead or supporting roles, these students will need to enrol into Production Class or our Musical Extension Program.

Stage performing focuses on projecting to a live audience through voice, movement, and expression, while screen acting teaches students how to perform naturally for the camera using subtle facial expressions and realistic performances. Our classes introduce students to both styles.
