Emma started her dancing journey around the age of 3 when she was a mini. Tap and jazz were her forte all the way through her tots, tweens and teens years. She studied a Cert II & III in Dance and has been trained by incredible teachers.
Her dance styling then began to include other types of dance, specifically hiphop and shuffling. She danced with Jstep Academy for a year and competed with Monsta Crew, which changed her life and outlook on not only hiphop, but dance itself.
Emma lives for dance and teaching. She has taught for some time across Melbourne including diverse groups and performance companies, as well as being a professional commercial dancer. She is also constantly working on new collaborations with other dancers and companies. She loves to provide our students with the best possible dance journey and building their confidence not only with their dance, but within themselves.
She is excited to show everyone that you CAN follow your dreams! And that a positive outlook equals a positive outcome.
"Get your dancing shoes on, and let’s hit the floor and I’ll show you some secrets to living a happy and hyped life!" - Emma

Alicia started dancing at the age of 4, she has trained in nearly every style you can think of. If there was a class at the studio she was there! Her dance journey led her to discovering her love for music. Her first instrument was a recorder which she got from primary school and only played Hot Cross Buns. Once she reached high school that's where her music started to get more serious. She started her violin and piano journey there. Alicia has experience with AMEB music exams with sitting them herself and having multiple students every year completing them with a 100 percent rate.
Alicia has trained at Spectrum Dance Studios for 3 years where she completed certificate 3 in dance. While at full time she had some amazing opportunities such as performing at the grand final players review. Alicia has worked for St Kilda FC, Geelong FC, Sydney Swans FC and the Melbourne Renegades, working with their mascots. Alicia also has worked on tv shows such as season 1 of La Brea, Fires, Spreadsheet, and multiple commercials. She continues to work in the acting field and loves combining her love of performing arts and doing everything she loves.
Alicia is excited to be teaching at Confident Kids and believes that kids can achieve so much with positivity and an uplifting environment. Alicia would love to see the landscape of being dancer change where every kid has an opportunity to shine without feeling left out.

I absolutely recommend confident kid's.
I have found this dance school to be completely about the kid's, building them up and guiding them throughout it all allowing the children to be their best and not force or push them past their own limits or comfortability.
I'm super happy to have my children be a part of something so special.
